Plant of the Day
Saturday 25 November 2023
At Garden Castle Walled Garden, Fochabers, Scotland, they have their own plum variety Prunus domestica ‘Gordon Castle’. This yellow fruit with a pink blush was first recorded in 1864. The plant is self-sterile and requires a pollinator to produce a crop. This specimen has been fan trained against the garden wall over many years.
